Visa Application for India

New Procedure

Geneva Indian Consulate has informed us that they have outsourced all visa related work to VF Services (UK) Limited (Swiss Branch) effective from 27 June 2014. Please inform all the tsogchung members not to pay the visa fee to Geneva Indian consulate from the effective date.

We are in contact with VF services and as soon as they arrange bank account, we will send you further information. In the meantime, Tibetans wishing to apply Indian visa can contact us with regard to visa fee payment in the interim period. Except the visa payment guideline, all procedures will remain as it is.

Procedure / Requirements

  1. Signed printout of the online filled India visa application. Please visit http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ for online application
  2. Two recent and identical passport photo size 2 inch X 2 inch in white background. (5 cmX5cm). Read carefully the photo specification on http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/
  3. Letter from your Tsogchung Thumi of Chatrel contribution
  4. Passport (Travel Document) in original (at least 6 month validity)
  5. Photocopy of your Swiss B / C / F Residence Permit
  6. Self addressed and stamped return envelope (CHF 6.00 / CHF 7.00 for more than applicant in one envelope)
  7. Please make your payment in favour of "VF Services (UK) Ltd.
    Account No. 60-433764-4 at the Swiss Post office outlet.
    The prevailing visa fee is CHF 92.55

  8. The visa processing time will take 45 days.
